Scotland Yard has made its biggest seizure of cocaine for a decade, it was revealed today.

The massive haul - believed to weigh 168 kilos (370lb) - was found in a storage unit in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

Detectives found the cocaine after making an earlier seizure of 500 kilos (1,102lb) of herbal cannabis which arrived at Tilbury Docks in east London on a ship from South Africa.

The combined street value of the drugs is estimated at £10 million, the biggest in the capital for at least 10 years.

The cannabis was found on June 9 and further investigations led to the discovery of the cocaine on June 17.

It was found in 180 packages on crates in the Aylesbury storage unit.

Two people - a man and a woman - have been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis.
