Pizza still a key clue in Yeates murder

Jo Yeates did not eat the pizza she bought on the evening that she disappeared, police said yesterday.

The pizza and a missing sock – held to be key clues during the early part of the investigation into the Bristol landscape architect's killing – have not yet been found. A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said that forensic examinations had not yet revealed where Ms Yeates died, or whether a ligature was used by her murderer while she was being strangled.

The BBC's Crimewatch programme filmed a reconstruction of Miss Yeates's journey home yesterday. It is due to be broadcast next Wednesday.
