One of two brothers who targeted lone women was found guilty today of seven violent muggings but cleared of attacking designer Nicole Farhi.

Matthew Mykoo, 27, was found guilty of seven "strangulation robberies" on lone women in London between March and June last year.

Mykoo, of Windsor Road, Brent, north London, and his 28-year-old brother Daniel targeted a string of women in wealthy areas of London, the jury at Wood Green Crown Court heard.

Matthew was cleared today of robbing designer Ms Farhi - an offence his brother Daniel has already admitted.

Addressing Matthew Mykoo in court today, Judge Nicholas Browne QC said: "I warn you now in very clear terms that the sentence which I impose on you in late July will be measured in many years.

"Today I do not rule out for you a life sentence. I warn you in very clear terms that an indeterminate sentence for public protection is virtually inevitable, bearing in mind the numbers and the fact that these robberies were of the most serious type I have ever encountered."
