A man burst into a pub and threatened drinkers with a buzzing power saw.

Video shows Andrew Dicken, 37, brandished the petrol-powered tool in the Bulls Head pub in Sale, sending customers clambering for safety.

The footage depicts Dicken, in a blue top, storming up a set of steps and thrusting the loudly buzzing saw towards a table.

People around him can be heard shouting in fear.

No one was injured in the incident which took place at 12.45am on Saturday, Greater Manchester Police said.

Dicken, who lives just a few minutes’ walk from the pub in Chapel Road, Sale, admitted affray during an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, the force said.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court for sentencing on 11 March.
