Man on trial for student's murder
A man will go on trial today accused of stabbing his former girlfriend to death as she walked home from work.
Asha Muneer, 18, was killed as she walked along a riverside path in Reading, Berkshire.
The body of the talented A-level student was found next to the River Kennet by a jogger on the evening of January 18.
Asha is thought to have left the Laura Ashley store on nearby Brunel Retail Park, where she worked part time, more than two hours earlier.
Gulamyr Akhter, of Victoria Way, Reading, is to appear at Reading Crown Court.
