Man held over 'kidnap' of girl aged 13

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of abducting a child.

South Yorkshire Police said a 25-year-old from Bradford, West Yorkshire, was being held following the disappearance of a 13-year-old schoolgirl, who was found safe after a week away from home.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "The man was arrested in Sheffield and is currently being questioned by police.

"Five people remain on police bail - four men and one woman - until towards the end of September."
