Man found dead in swimming pool in Bournemouth

A young man was found dead in a private swimming pool, police said today.

Officers were called to a property in Bournemouth, Dorset early on Saturday morning, where the body of a man in his 20s was discovered.

A Facebook tribute named him as Luke Barnes. An entry on the page said: "In loving memory of Luke Ashley Barnes who was tragically taken from us on on the 11/9/2010 to join his Dad in heaven."

It added: "Lukie was all ready to go on holiday with his grandad to Greece and went for a swim before leaving."

A Dorset Police spokesman said: "We were called to an address in Bournemouth at approximately 8am on September 11. A man in his 20s was found dead in a private swimming pool.

"Police are not treating the death as suspicious. Details of the police investigation have been forwarded to the East Dorset coroner."
