A man was released on police bail yesterday, after a car plunged into a reservoir in Wales on Wednesday, killing four people.

The driver, Denise Griffith, 55, managed to get out of her Peugeot 807 and swim to the edge of Llyn Clywedog, near Llanidloes. But her husband, mother, and foster children all died. They were named as Emyr Glyn Griffith, 66, Phyllis Iris Hooper, 84, Peter Briscome, 14, and Liam Govier, 14.

A local man, 23, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
