Lytham St Annes stabbing: Police launch murder investigation into attack
The man was stabbed near a golf club
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death in Lytham St Annes.
The 51-year-old victim, who has not yet been publicly named, was attacked on York Road, close to the Royal Lytham and St Annes Gold Club, at around 11:30pm on Thursday 18 June.
He was later pronounced dead at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A police spokesman said: "A post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death will take place in due course.
"Police inquiries are ongoing and the man's family are being supported by specially-trained officers."
