Leicester house fire: Six held in fatal arson inquiry

Detectives investigating a house fire which killed a mother and her three children in Leicester have arrested a sixth person in connection with the blaze.

Police were on Sunday night questioning the 18-year-old man, whose arrest follows those of three women aged 19, 20, and 27, and a 49-year-old man. A third man, aged 19, who was previously arrested in the murder inquiry, has been released without charge.

Shehnila Taufiq, who was in her 40s, died with her 19-year-old daughter Zainab and two sons, Bilal, 17, and Jamal, 15, in the fire in the early hours of Friday.
