Huhne’s partner denies allegations
Chris Huhne's partner Carina Trimingham denied a suggestion that she had been a “habitual serial seller of titbits to the press” as she brought a High Court damages action over a “cataclysmic interference” with her private life.
Ms Trimingham – whose affair with the former Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change became public in June 2010 with Mr Huhne leaving his wife of 26 years – is suing Associated Newspapers for misuse of private information and harassment.
Giving evidence, she agreed that she was Mr Huhne's press officer in the 2007 Liberal Democrat leadership campaign and the 2010 election. The case continues.
