Man dies after 'fight' outside London tube station
Second male in hospital with serious head injuries, police say
A man has died following reports of a fight outside a west London Underground station in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The victim, in his late 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene in Oldfield Lane North, outside Greenford Station.
The death is currently being treated as “unexplained”, police said.
A second man, also in his late 30s, is in a stable condition after he was taken to hospital with a suspected head injury, the Metropolitan Police said.
Both were “unresponsive” when officers and London Ambulance Service medics arrived on the scene after being called shortly after 1.45am.
The force said they were in the process of informing the dead man’s next of kin. He has yet to be formally identified and a postmortem will take place at a later date.
Greenford Station was closed for a short period on Saturday morning but has now been reopened. No arrests have been made.
