Four men were arrested today in Southampton under the Terrorism Act, Hampshire Police said today.

A spokesman said: "At 7.47am Hampshire Police officers executed a warrant under the Terrorism Act 2000 at an address in the Polygon area of Southampton.

"Four men aged between 26 and 34 were detained and are being held at police stations in Hampshire where they will be interviewed later today."

The spokesman refused to give any further details about the men, or what had led to the search warrants and arrests.
