A father shot in the head in front of his family after a row over parking, was in intensive care last night. Douglas Mullings, 41, was hit with a shotgun at close range in daylight after an argument with six men in the street.
Police said he was involved in a parking dispute but it was not clear whether there had been a collision or if the men had taken Mr Mullings' spot or tried to break into his car. The men were in a stolen, grey-metallic Mercedes which had parked near Mr Mullings's home in Tottenham, north London, at about 1pm on Sunday.
As the row between them became more heated, a red Rover pulled up and a man with a shotgun got out. He walked up to Mr Mullings and shot him in the head in front of his partner and his young son and daughter.
The men in the original confrontation fled on foot. The gunman is believed to have been driven away in the Rover.
