Ex-air steward remanded on suitcase body murder charge
A former air steward appeared at the Old Bailey today charged with the murder of a woman whose body was left in a suitcase at Heathrow Airport 11 years ago.
Youseff Ahmed Wahid, 41, is alleged to have killed trainee accountant Fatima Kama, 28, who was repeatedly stabbed and had her throat slashed.
The body of Miss Kama, a Moroccan-born Canadian citizen, was discovered on an airport trolley in July 1999.
Wahid, a former steward for Kuwaiti Airlines, was charged with her murder after being arrested in Bahrain last month.
Following a brief hearing today, he was remanded in custody to face a plea and case management hearing on December 15.
