Enfield stabbing: Murder probe launched after man stabbed to death in broad daylight in London
Victim took himself to hospital but died shortly afterwards
A man was stabbed to death in broad daylight in north London.
The victim in his 20s, was knifed multiple times on Thursday afternoon, but he managed to take himself to hospital before police officers and paramedics could arrive.
However, the man who is yet to be formally identified, later died from his injuries.
Detectives from Scotland Yard's specialist crime unit have been brought in on the case, with no arrests made at this stage.
"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A crime scene was established however no victim was present," a spokesperson for London's Metropolitan Police said. "A man, aged 20s, self-presented at a north London hospital suffering from stab wounds a short while later. He died in hospital at 14:21hrs".
There murder is one of a spate of stabbings in the capital in recent weeks.
Earlier this month two teenagers were stabbed to death within hours of each other in the Camberwell and Stratford.
Two men were also stabbed in broad daylight at a butcher's shop in north London just over a fortnight ago.
