Britain's 'worst bank thief' steals Marie Curie cancer donation fund
Police search for information in relation to a charity donation box going missing from a bank
A Marie Curie charity donation box has gone missing from a bank in Devon in what could be the least ambitious bank heist in history.
The donation box went missing from a Natwest branch in Bedford Square, Tavistock in March.
The average charity box only holds around £100.
The local police have requested information about a man who was seen in the bank on March 17.
In pictures published in the Plymouth Herald the man can be seen entering the bank at around 2pm wearing a grey coat and carrying a green shopping bag.
The Plymouth Herald’s headline asks: “Is this Britain’s worst bank raid and do you recognise hunched suspect?”
Police believe the man could be able to assist them in their investigations.
They are calling on people to ring Crimestoppers anonymously quoting crime reference number CR/018452/15 if they have any idea who the man could be.
