Detectives charged a man yesterday with the murder of polish woman found in a suitcase on the outskirts of a wealthy village.

Ziaul Haque, 27, of Drummond Street, Camden Town, North London, is accused of the murder of 26-year-old Sylwia Sobczak of Mafeking Road, Tottenham, North London.

The burnt body of Ms Sobczak was found by a dog walker on a bridleway half a mile from the centre of Dummer in Hampshire on May 8.

The village near Basingstoke is home to the families of the Duchess of York and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.

Haque is due to appear before Basingstoke Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning, police said.
