Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after man dies in Birmingham

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 36-year-old man in south-west Birmingham. 

The man was found having a cardiac arrest at a house on Dover Close in Bartley Green just before 6.20pm on Friday, police said.

West Midlands Police said a murder investigation was launched after the man died at the scene. 

A 48-year-old woman was arrested and is in police custody.

Detective Inspector Stuart Mobberley, from the force homicide team, said: “Our investigation continues to establish the circumstances surrounding this man's death.

“Every bit of information is vital to our investigation and I would urge anyone who can help to get in touch.”

Detectives and a forensics team attended the property — which was surrounded by a police cordon — on Saturday afternoon.
