Ferdinand receives bullet in the post

The footballer at the centre of allegations that the England captain John Terry mouthed racial abuse has been sent a bullet in the post.

The bullet addressed to Anton Ferdinand was delivered to Queens Park Rangers in west London. Police declined to say if it was live. A spokesman for Scotland Yard said last night: "We can confirm we are investigating an allegation a malicious communication was received at Queens Park Rangers FC."
