The powerful parliamentary Defence Select Committee has spent almost a year inquiring into the suspicious deaths of army recruits.

The report is expected to criticise the way the Army recruited training staff, accusing it of using the most troublesome soldiers.

The Army's chain of command will also come under fire for repeated failures to act.

The committee is expected to recommend the establishment of an independent complaints commission with retrospective powers.
