83-year-old woman on trial for Asbo breaches
An 83-year-old woman appeared before a jury today charged with breaching her anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) 10 times.
The five-year order banning Dorothy Evans from causing harassment, alarm or distress to her neighbours in Abergavenny, South Wales, was served on the pensioner in May 2005.
Phillip Morris, prosecuting, told Cardiff Crown Court that Evans had breached the Asbo on 10 occasions - between 1 September, 2007, and 5 June this year - in relation to neighbours living on both sides of her home in Park Crescent.
Mr Morris said the first eight breaches involved the Casa family, with whom Evans has a long-running dispute about parking, and the last two breaches involved the Stafford family with whom she has a dispute about a boundary between their properties.
