£4m of fake goods seized at Heathrow
Almost £4m of counterfeit goods were seized at Heathrow Airport in the last three months, the UK Border Agency (UKBA) said yesterday.
The haul included 1,300 fake iPhones, 2,500 pieces of counterfeit designer jewellery worth more than £500,000, and more than £1m-worth of counterfeit and unlicensed Viagra tablets destined for the UK black market.
Officials warned that the 180,000 tablets contained "potentially harmful chemicals which are unlikely to have the desired effect".
