SOCIAL services documents, including details of children in care, were found in an Asda store rubbish skip, an MP disclosed yesterday.
Labour's Alan Simpson said he was 'shocked' at the contents of the papers, passed to him by a solicitor representing the man who found them in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire - in the constituency of Kenneth Clarke, the Chancellor.
Mr Simpson, MP for Nottingham South, said: 'Not even I should have these documents. It would cause untold damage if some of the details became known.'
A county council spokesman said: 'An immediate inquiry has been instituted by the chief executive.'
