The father of the murdered child James Bulger was yesterday cleared of wounding a man in a nightclub brawl. Ralph Bulger, 27, and his brother Phillip, 30, both of Kirkby, Merseyside, were acquitted of all charges at Manchester Crown Court.
The two men were accused of wounding two brothers, Gary and Mark Loftus, in The Entertainer nightclub in September eight weeks before the schoolboy killers of two-year-old James went on trial. Afterwards Ralph Bulger said: 'I was not surprised the prosecution was brought but justice has been served. I am not angry. We just want to get on with our lives.'
