A schoolboy was facing a long custodial sentence after admitting at Lewes Crown Court that he raped a girl, 10, when he was 14. He attacked the girl in Folkestone, Kent, last summer as she was playing with friends on Dover Hill.
The judge adjourned sentencing one of the country's youngest rapists, saying that the only question was the length of detention.
