AN elderly widow was being sought by detectives last night after the skeleton of a baby who probably died more than half a century ago was found in a suitcase in a rubbish skip outside a house that was being cleared out in Bradmore, Wolverhampton. Two newspapers from 1936 and 1937 were also in the case.

West Midlands Police hoped to interview the last known resident of the house, a woman in her eighties who left 18 months ago and was believed to be living in Poole, Dorset. They said the length of time made it impossible to tell the sex of the child or the cause of death.
