Two babies have been found dead in their bedrooms four years after their mother's first child died in circumstances that baffled experts. The bodies of Christine Robinson, aged 18 months, and her five-month-old brother, Anthony, were discovered on Tuesday night by their parents, Peter and Maxine Robinson, at their home in Ouston, Chester-le-Street, County Durham.
A police spokesman said a post- mortem examination had failed to establish the cause of their deaths and officers were awaiting the results of other tests. Mrs Robinson's first child, Vicki, died aged nine months in the summer of 1989. An inquest recorded an open verdict.
