Lords reject IRA graves deadline

A BID TO impose a five week deadline on Ulster terrorist organisations to reveal locations of the bodies of their victims was defeated in the Lords. An amendment to the Northern Ireland (Location of Victims' Remains) Bill was rejected by 129 to 121.

Commonwealth

CLARE SHORT, the Secretary of State for International Development, denied that the Commonwealth Development Corporation Bill would amount to full privatisation.
