The new Bishop of Durham, the Rt Rev Michael Turnbull was enthroned yesterday - as gay rights activists demonstrated outside. Bishop Turnbull, who was convicted 26 years ago for an act of gross indecency, spoke in his sermon of having been 'through a private, and now public, process of repentance'
