Sunday success
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.SALES OF the Independent on Sunday are booming. The latest circulation figures released last week reveal that sales in October jumped by more than 16,000 to 267,762, a 6.7 per cent increase on the previous month and a rise of 3.6 per cent on the same period last year. The daily Independent also continued to grow, with October sales of 230,677, up 8,000 on the previous month and an increase of 3.4 per cent on last year.
Brendan Hopkins, chief executive of Independent News and Media, said: "These figures result from significant improvements to both titles. We intend to announce further substantial investment early in the new year."
Our continuing success is based on the sharpest news, sport and business coverage, along with an unrivalled team of columnists and critics, including Salman Rushdie, Jo Brand, Joan Smith, Alan Watkins, Bea Campbell, Fay Weldon, Gilbert Adair, David Thomson, Matthew Collings, and Brian Viner - every weekend, the cream of journalism.
