Researchers have developed a new method of estimating a person's age from their blood, which could give detectives investigating a crime a crucial lead.
Existing methods rely on teeth, bones or other body parts. The test, developed at Erasmus University in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, takes advantage of a characteristic of immune cells known as T cells, the researchers report online in Current Biology.
