RSPCA stops dog supply to police

THE RSPCA has suspended its practice of supplying dogs to the police because of fears about the training methods used by some forces. The charity will seek assurances from each force that their methods are not cruel before deciding whether to resume. Four police dog handlers from Essex are being prosecuted for alleged cruelty.
