Your support makes all the difference.The judges have been revealed for the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards ahead of the last call for entries for this year’s prize.
The judging panel will include Joanna Milter, deputy photo editor of New York Times Magazine; Matthew Leifheit, photo editor of VICE Magazine US; Enrica Viganó, an Italian curator and writer; Xingxin Guo, vice director of New Media Department of Photo Center of Xinhua News Agency and Editor-in-Chief of CICPHOTO; Oliver Schmitt, photo editor of Spiegel Online, Maria Pieri, editorial director of National Geographic Traveller in the UK and Sasha Erwitt, a US-based picture editor.
The Awards will see professional and amateur photographers compete across 25 categories including nature and wildlife, current affairs and travel.
One professional photographer will be awarded the title of Photographer of the Year at the Sony World Photography Awards held in London in April.
All winning and finalist photographers will have their work exhibited at Somerset House.
Entries for the annual competition will close in January. The Open and Youth categories will close on 5 January, while the deadline for the Professional competition will close on 8 January.
