Sir William Allan Davis, of London EC2, former Senior Partner of Armitage and Norton accountants, and Lord Mayor of London 1985-86, left estate valued at pounds 317,592 net.

Professor Thomas Stuart Willan, of Didsbury, Manchester, Professor of Economic History at Manchester University 1961-73, left estate valued at pounds 696,787 net. He left all his books, journals, pamphlets and off prints to the John Rylands University Library, Manchester, and his copyrights and royalties on all his books published by them to the Manchester University Press.
