At just 31, Johansson's films have brought in an estimated $3.3 billion in total.
In a list compiled by Box Office Mojo, Johansson is tenth on a list topped by Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman.
The Lucy star highlighted how she was isolated within the top 10 as the only woman, with Cameron Diaz being the second woman in 19th place.
Addressing her ranking, she told Extra: ”It’s exciting to be the only woman in the category – it's kind of disappointing actually to be the only woman in this category, that was a little bit of a surprise to me."
