Your support makes all the difference.When it comes to appearances on stage, it has not been a great week for either Taylor Swift or Finley Quaye.
Swift got stuck on an extending stage that had stopped working while performing in Washington, DC, while Quaye was ejected from a gig he was headlining by a music promoter who apologised for "polluting [his] venue with bull****". Quaye had not bothered turning up to the sound check six hours previously.
Still, Swift and Quaye's experiences are not the worst stage mishaps to have occurred, and while Quaye caused himself much embarrassment - thus signalling his spectacular fall from grace - he could have done even worse.

When Swift was stuck on stage high above the crowd, she managed to deal with the situation rather well, "I'll just be here forever, stuck up here, unless I choose to jump down. But in the meantime, I'm gonna sing a song for you called 'Clean,' and I hope you'll sing along."
