This is Donald Trump's America, at least for anyone stood in the New York hotel room containing his most ardent supporters, Donald Trump’s party and Donald Trump’s bar. If you want a beer, you better be prepared to pay his prices.
That’s $11 for an imported beer, to be precise, $10 if you want a domestic beer, $13 for a glass of wine and $7 for the designated drivers relegated to soft drinks at his election night party.
Mr Trump has hired out the New York Hilton in Manhattan for what he preemptively branded his “victory party”, with a cash bar in play.
Another eye-catching aspect of the function included a $7,000 sponge cake replica of a sombre looking Mr Trump which was wheeled in as proceedings got underway.

Things took a worrying turn for Hillary Clinton after The New York Times placed the Democratic nominee’s lead in jeopardy after forecasting her chances of winning down to the low 60 per cent mark. The NYT’s latest predictions are now showing Trump chances of securing the Presidency at 61 per cent - a forecast, which if realised, would defy all of the pollster’s predictions to date and mean it will actually be Donald Trump's America in few hours.
