Tracy Morgan has claimed he spoke to ‘God’ after he was critically injured during a major car crash in 2014.

The comedian and 30 Rock star suffered a serious head injury and was put into a medically induced coma after a truck hit the limo he was travelling in, killing his close friend and colleague James McNair.

Morgan told Complex magazine he briefly “went to the other side” after nearly dying in the crash.

“This is not something I'm making up. Do you know what God said to me? He said, 'Your room ain't ready. I still got something for you to do.' And here I am, doing an interview with you."

The 47-year-old returned to screens last month to host Saturday Night Live.
