Former X Factor winner Sam Bailey complains working as a support act for Beyoncé proved a disheartening experience.
Having triumphed on the ITV series in 2013, Bailey was put on the bill for the American singer’s show in Birmingham. “I supported Beyoncé as part of my X Factor prize, but she didn’t even bother to meet me,” she now bitterly recalls. “I’d never do that. I’d have the decency to say hello… who does she think she is?”
Bailey optimistically claims she had the last laugh, however, adding: “When she was on stage, I was at the front, and while she was proper going for it my son spent the whole time playing Minecraft on his iPad.” While no doubt small comfort to Bailey, it’s only fair to point out Beyoncé is a big hitter on the celebrity snub front. Victims have reportedly included Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
