The Duke of Edinburgh, President, World Wide Fund for Nature, WWF International, and Founder and Chairman of the International Trustees, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Association, undertakes engagements in Toronto, Canada. The Prince of Wales pays official visits to Ukraine and the Central Asian Republics of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The Princess Royal visits the Mary Rose, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, Hampshire; opens a Young Men's Christian Association Residential Centre, Basingstoke, Hampshire; opens a new Faculty of Arts building at Basingstoke College of Technology; and as President, Royal Naval Museum, visits the Royal Naval Museum and attends an evening reception and dinner on board HMS Victory, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth. Princess Margaret opens the Omega Factory, the first development on the new Capitol Park Industrial Estate, Thorne, near Doncaster.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Welsh Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Grenadier Guards.
