The Duke of Kent opens the media building at the Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education, Cheltenham; and, as Vice-Chairman, British Overseas Board, visits United Kingdom Glass Eels, Gloucester. Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Wales mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Scots Guards.
