Robin Williams helped Night at the Museum teenage co-star ask a girl to his prom
Video shows Williams and Ben Stiller in a three-minute 'prom-posal'

Robin Williams and Ben Stiller helped secure their teenage co-star a date at his prom with a girl during filming for Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
Skyler Gisondo, who played the son of Ben Stiller’s character, was away from home when his friends were asking girls to the prom.
Unable to ask for a date face-to-face, the then 17-year-old enlisted the comedic charm of the late Williams and Stiller, in what Gisondo told The Hollywood Reporter was “the most awesome three minutes of my life”.
The video saw Williams burst on screen with a "yo,yo,yo!" while donning a beanie hat and jacket before asking: "Yo Hilary, will you go to the prom with my man here, my man Skyler?”

An ever-imaginative Williams then moved between skits involving him pretending to command imaginary Cirque du Soleil performers and co-ordinate dancers on a catwalk.
Williams then feigned tears as Gisondo finally asked his friend on a date with the help of Crystal the Monkey, adding: “A monkey and a rose, that’s so Freudian”.
"It turned into this three-minute, ridiculous thing. A prom-posal. I realised that was the most awesome three minutes of my life and I've accepted it will go downhill from there."
He added: “Robin was this bottomless reservoir of kindness and hilarity… It was just so special to work so closely with this guy who’s movies I’ve grown up with and watch his preparedness and his kindness.”
And, perhaps unsurprisingly, Gisondo's prospective date accepted his ‘prom-posal’.
