Chicago rapper Capo was gunned down in his hometown on Saturday afternoon.

Capo, 22, known for his affiliation with Chief Keef’s Glory Boyz Entertainment, was the victim of a drive-by shooting in his hometown of Chicago, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The fatal shooting took place at 1.40pm.

Nearly 20 minutes after the shooting, a 1-year-old boy was struck and killed by the suspect’s vehicle. Micah Ocana, a witness of the tragic scene, said that the driver pulled up toward a woman pushing the baby on a sidewalk, then collided with the stroller.

"Baby wasn't even crying… Just a lot of blood. I can only imagine what she's going through… It’s crazy,” he told the Tribune. The woman “didn’t get hit at all.”

Chicago has more than 229 recorded homicides in 2015, ABC News reported. The murder rate has jumped 19% from the first half 2014.

Memorials for the slain rapper were posted on social media by close friends, musicians and fans.
