Given the toxic discourse that has become synonymous with Donald Trump's US presidential campaign and the repeated scandals her husband has landed himself in, you have to wonder whether Melania Trump has decided to have some fun of her own.
On Wednesday night while attending the third and final presidential debate at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, the former model wore a black jumpsuit, believed to be Ralph Lauren, with one key feature: the pussy bow around the neck.
This is the second time the 46-year-old has decided to wear such a statement neck-tie to the presidential debate. It follows the fuchsia pink Gucci pussy bow blouse she wore to the second debate days after Donald Trump was heard boasting he can use his fame to “grab women by the p***y” in a leaked recording from 2005.
Her publicist was then forced to clarify the outfit choice was “not intentional”.
However, by repeating the decision by wearing a £1,720 Ralph Lauren ‘Sheryl Tie-Front Jumpsuit’, one has to wonder whether she is just trolling everybody now.
Vogue declared her outfit to be "a bold and pointed statement" which the fashion bible said was her commitment to "the pussy bow look and all the obvious connotations with gusto".
Comparing the two blouses, the fashion magazine continued: "Though the knot of her pussybow was clearly far more deconstructed than the neatly tied one she flaunted at the last debate, the message was still loud and clear."
On Tuesday, Ms Trump sat down with CNN in a rare televised interview where she dismissed her husband's previous lewd comments as “boys talk” and suggested he was “egged on” by the former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush.
Whatever she was planning to do, Gucci’s pussy bow blouse flew of the shelves and almost sold out two days after its prime time appearance. We can probably expect the same will happen with her latest number, suggesting the pussy bow blouse is here to stay.
