Robert Burle Marx, landscape architect, died Rio De Janeiro 5 June, aged 84. Designed more than 1,500 parks and gardens, including Flamengo Park, Quinta de Boa Vista Gardens, Copacabana Beach and Rodrigo de Freitas Lake in Rio. Won awards from the French Architecture Academy and the Royal College of Art.
