Rabbi Marc Tanenbaum, died New York 12 July, aged 66. An active promoter of Vatican-Jewish relations, he was the former international affairs director for the American Jewish Committee. In 1965 he was the only Jew to participate in the Second Vatican Council, which condemned anti-Semitism.
