Obituary: Frederic Matys Thursz

Frederic Matys Thursz, US artist, died Cologne 4 July, aged 61. Born in Morocco, he had been living in Paris for the last two years. A minimalist painter, a retrospective of his work was held at the Museum of Modern Art of Saint- Etienne in 1989.
