Cheaper by the Dozen stars dress up and re-create classic moments for charity

The cast of the 2003 comedy Cheaper by the Dozen have recreated select moments from the film for charity by dressing up and posing as their former characters.

Stars including Hilary Duff, Bonnie Hunt and Alyson Stoner contributed to the video, which was then shared on social media.

Stoner, who played Sarah Baker in Cheaper by the Dozen, had tweeted on 20 May: “What if I told you the Bakers have something else cooking for you all next week....?!”, prompting speculation among fans that a new sequel was in the works.

While that has been revealed to not be the case, fans have still reacted positively to the throwback video.

The clip is accompanied by an encouragement for people to donate to No Kid Hungry, a charity that provides aid to children in poverty.

Not all of the movie’s stars contributed to the video, however; Steve Martin, who played the family patriarch, only appears as a still photograph held aloft by one of the cast members.

Cheaper by the Dozen was a box office success, earning nearly five times its budget, but was widely derided by critics. It currently holds a score of just 24 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes.

It was followed by a sequel, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, in 2005.
