Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Michael Buble's womanising ways stemmed from "insecurity".
The 36-year-old singer has settled down since marrying model-and-actress Luisana Lopilato earlier this year and believes many of his previous relationships were not right for him as he was just trying to prove to himself that he was "cool".
He said: "I put [womanising] down to insecurity. Half the women I was with, I was probably just with them to prove to myself that I was manly and cool.
"Listen, I love women - the way they look and smell and feel but often I was with them for the wrong reasons.
"Luisana knows all about my past, but I'd already started to work on those issues before I met her because I was on the road to becoming a rich, lonely old man."
Michael and Luisana's careers mean they have to spend a lot of time apart, but they have come up with ways to still spend the evening together.
He explained in an interview with Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I have to say iChat is the greatest invention ever. Tonight in the hotel, I'll set up my computer, she'll set up hers at home and we'll have a chat and maybe watch a movie together.
"Then in the morning, I'll tell her, 'I have to go to work, I love you, speak to you later.' "
